Despite the forced closure of the Aqaudome during COVID 19, work still continues to make this facility even better for when you return. The hive of activity is very different with tradesmen taking place of swimmers and engineers taking that of gym-goers. Although the majority of fixes will be site unseen, they will help BlueFit deliver services to the Playford community into the future.
In past editions of this newsletter, I promised energy efficiencies for the facility. These upgrades are coming to completion with 770 solar panels now active and a new gas line feeding our heating and cooling. Engineers have frequented the pools as they attempt to help us bring them into the 21st century and deep cleans of amenities have commenced. Much work is still to be done but we are committed to ensuring that the environment you come back to is a pleasant one. Below are some pictures of the infrastructure that you are likely never to see, but I can assure you, you will benefit from.
As many know, the closure of the Aquadome forced our team, like millions of other Australians, to spend extended periods of time at home. I would like to extend my gratitude for the overwhelming support my team have shown me, each other and the BlueFit extended family. These times are unprecedented and the test of the man (or women) is the test of their character. I can assure you that the resilience of the BlueFit team is a testament to the individuals and the unity of the family. They will all be here when you return, eager to provide you with the service, professionalism and expertise you have grown accustomed too.
While we wait for a return. I encourage you to stay active, take a walk around the block, dust off the push bike or better still, log on to BFit @ Home and participate in a workout from the comfort of your own home. Most of all I plead with you to adhere to government restrictions, maintain your social distancing and keep yourself and loved ones healthy and safe. The more that we comply, the quicker we can return to normality and the sooner we will be able to welcome you back to the wonderful facility that is the Aquadome.
