Recently, our team at Playford Aquadome had the fantastic opportunity to attend the 2026 South Australian Aquatics Conference & Awards at the Glenelg Golf Club. With this year’s overarching theme being "The Future Starts With Us," it was an incredibly inspiring day dedicated to discovering new ideas, connecting with fellow industry professionals, and leading the conversation on the road ahead for our sector.
Leading the Industry Conversation
A major highlight of the day was seeing our very own team members take the stage to share their expertise. Both Riley Giersch and Jasmin Rogers featured as keynote speakers during the event, representing the BlueFit team with immense pride. Listening to their presentations on industry growth and community retention left us feeling incredibly motivated about where our aquatic programs are headed!
Recognising Excellence on Stage
The event also celebrated outstanding achievements across the state during the formal awards ceremony, and we were absolutely thrilled to see our very own Melinda Cooper recognised as a finalist for the Surf Life Saving Aquatic Infant and Preschool Instructor of the Year!
Melinda’s dedication to early-years water safety at Playford Aquadome is unmatched. Seeing her hard work recognized on a state level was a proud moment for our entire team and a powerful reminder of the vital role our instructors play in shaping confident, water-safe children in our local community.

We walked away from the conference feeling inspired, energised, and more connected than ever. We are absolutely thrilled about the direction the leisure and aquatics industry is heading, and we can’t wait to bring these fresh ideas and innovations straight back to the pools at Playford Aquadome!
