The Aquadome pools will embark on one of the most important upgrades in recent memory. This will involve the closure of the aquatics area from Friday 2nd July. A lot of the work will occur behind the scenes and may not even be noticed by some visitors, but the end result will future proof the facility for generations to come.
Starting in early July, the two Aquadome pools will undergo a back of house transformation. This will include installing a state of the art pool pump and filtration system, establishing a new heating system, and rebuilding and retiling the 50m pool.
Aquatic services at The Aquadome will be disrupted with the closure of both pools. If all work stays on schedule, we aim to reopen the 25m pool on 2 August 2021, and the 50m pool on 4 October 2021.
